I never planned on creating a blueberry coffee.

One day, my good friend Scott stopped by the roastery and told me how much he enjoyed a blueberry coffee from another company. He kept encouraging me to create one for Firehouse Coffee. Honestly, I wasn't convinced at first. Blueberry can be a difficult flavor to get just right, and I wasn't interested in making "just another blueberry coffee."

So I started experimenting.

I worked on different coffee bases, adjusted the flavor profile, and roasted batch after batch until everything came together. There were plenty of attempts along the way, and at times I wasn't sure I'd ever get it exactly where I wanted it. But when it finally all clicked, I knew we had something special.

Firefighters often place blue lights on their personal vehicles when responding to emergency calls, and I wanted to incorporate that tradition into the design. It represents the dedication of volunteer firefighters while also perfectly matching the vibrant blueberry theme of this coffee.
