The Story Behind Blueberry Explosion™

I never planned on creating a blueberry coffee.

One day, my good friend Scott stopped by the roastery and told me how much he enjoyed a blueberry coffee from another company. He kept encouraging me to create one for Firehouse Coffee.

Honestly, I wasn’t convinced at first. Blueberry can be a difficult flavor to get just right, and I wasn’t interested in making “just another blueberry coffee.”

So, I started experimenting.

I worked with different coffee bases, adjusted the flavor profile and roasted batch after batch until everything finally came together. There were plenty of attempts along the way, and at times, I wasn’t sure I would ever get it exactly where I wanted it.

But when it finally clicked, I knew we had something special.

The result was Blueberry Explosion™—a smooth, fresh-roasted coffee bursting with sweet blueberry flavor and finished with creamy vanilla.

The Blue Warning Light

The blue warning light featured on the bag has its own story.

Volunteer firefighters often place blue lights on their personal vehicles when responding to emergency calls. I wanted to incorporate that tradition into the design as a tribute to the dedication of volunteer firefighters.

It also happened to fit the vibrant blueberry theme perfectly.

Freshly Roasted Blueberry Coffee

We begin with premium 100% Arabica coffee beans, freshly roasted in small batches in Maxatawny, Pennsylvania. After roasting, the beans are flavored with sweet blueberry and smooth vanilla cream.
