The Story Behind Hydrant Hazelnut™

Hydrant Hazelnut™ was inspired by my days at Fleetwood Fire Company and one of those firefighting jobs most people never think about: flushing fire hydrants.

During the heat of summer, we'd spend long days driving around town opening and flushing hydrants. It could be hot, wet, dirty work—but it was also part of maintaining the water supply firefighters depend on when a fire happens.

And when those hydrants opened up, neighborhood kids would sometimes come running over to splash and play in the water.

Those memories became the inspiration for Hydrant Hazelnut™. The fire hydrant is one of the most recognizable symbols of firefighting, and for me it also brings back memories of summers spent working around the firehouse and the community.

Now we've taken that story and paired it with the rich, comforting taste of decaf hazelnut flavored coffee.
