The Story Behind Hydrant Hazelnut™
The inspiration comes straight from my days in the fire service.
During the summer, we would spend long, hot days driving around town flushing fire hydrants. It was dirty, wet work, especially under the summer sun—but it was also one of those jobs that connected the fire department with the community.
When we opened a hydrant, neighborhood kids would sometimes come running over to splash and play in the water. What was routine work for us could turn into the highlight of a summer afternoon for them.
Fire hydrants are one of the most recognizable symbols of the fire service, so when we created our classic Hazelnut Coffee, Hydrant Hazelnut™ was the perfect name.
